The Castle on the Hudson Goes Greener!
As part of our commitment to this planet, Castle On The Hudson continues to go green!
We are proud to announce that The Castle is investigating the placement of a sustainable energy wind turbine, which would produce most of the electricity used at the Castle. The initiative, led by our renewable energy partner – Green Energy Act, LLC, was started earlier this year, with a wind feasibility study. As part of the study, Green Energy Act has placed an anemometer (wind speed measuring and data collection device) at the Castle. Data will be collected throughout the next few months, with the study to be completed by fall 2009. Initial analysis of the data indicates sufficient wind for a wind turbine installation. The Castle and Green Energy Act believe in making environmental friendly changes that are also economical sensible. To that extent, the high-efficient turbine to be installed will be paying back for itself within 5 years or less.
